Lucas Zelnick New York Concert reviews
Uptown Theater is not a good venue for Brian Regan
The Uptown venue was not ideal for Lucas Zelnick's comedy, as his performance heavily relies on physical and facial interaction with the audience. Unfortunately, many seats at the venue hindered this connection, resulting in a common feeling of being "lost in translation" for those seated upstairs. Zelnick seemed somewhat subdued and not as lively as usual, making for a disappointing 7 out of 10 performance overall. Parking at the Uptown is notoriously difficult, causing late arrivals and a lack of ushers to guide attendees to their seats, particularly in the balcony. The show was further marred by the warm-up act imitating Zelnick, adding to the overall mediocrity of the experience. Despite these shortcomings, Zelnick still has a loyal following.
